Visiting with Ali

Jim at Ali outside Univ. of Phoenix

In May, Jim and I flew to Phoenix for me to attend a two day Interpreter’s Conference.  It was also a great opportunity to spend time with Ali.  We took some time to go with her to the University of Phoenix to visit with her counselors and set long range plans for her studies.  We are so proud of all of her efforts to complete her education.  It means a lot of work for her in addition to her full time job but she is putting her all into meeting her goals while continuing to perform  well in her job.  We miss having her close and try not to worry too much about her health and safety.  We know she is doing well, is excited and has a great future.

About jfinlayson51
I live in Colorado. I was born in Honduras. Jim and I have been married 32 yrs. and are the parents of three daughters and one son. We have five grandchildren. We have lived all over the Country and have travel across the continental US from coast to coast and border to border and beyond in both directions. We love to dance and have done it for about 20yrs. We still dance a couple of times a week. It keeps our marriage fresh and adds a bit of romance to the equation! We enjoy some kind of physical activity almost every day of the week, be it the gym, a walk, dancing or the occasional hike. We travel a lot and like it. I love to read, cook nice meals and try new recipes. Trying new foods is one of my favorite things to do. Being with my husband and our family means the most to me. Our favorite place to be: On the Beach!!!!!!!

It was so great having you guys here. I wish we were closer too. I can’t wait to come home in the next few months. It is always great to spend time with you guys and to hear your advice and to know that you are proud of where I am at in life and what I am doing. I just realized today talking to Mandy that this school thing is really moving along quickly and that before I know it I will be walking to get my diploma. The hard work will pay off eventually. Thanks for being such great examples in my life and giving me the encouragement to keep going! I love you!!
